Responsible For: Finance Coordinator; Procurement and Logistic officer; and HR and admin staff

Relations with Others: Reports and is accountable to CD, close working relationship with the other Programme staffs, close liaison with global Finance, HR and Portfolio teams, donors, affiliates and partners.

In 13 countries Helpage International also operates from a country office, while a global team provides operational and technical support to the Global network including the country offices. The HelpAge International country office manages finance and administration functions for the country team and global team members based in Kenya.
Job purpose: To develop, manage and implement financial, administrative processes and policies of the HelpAge International Kenya country programme to ensure that they are relevant and functioning efficiently and effectively, compliant with HelpAge International financial system, policies and procedures, donor requirements and national legislation. To monitor and proactively detect risks and opportunities and bring these to the attention of management and to ensure that administrative and financial service support to the programme is adequate and timely. To build capacity of the functional finance and administration team and to ensure the team has appropriate skills to perform tasks assigned to required standards and oversee procurement functions to ensure compliance and efficiency.
