The Global Support Office in Nairobi works with staff and partners in the region to bring about positive and lasting changes in people’s lives. Currently, integrated programmes that include components in health, nutrition, education and protection are implemented directly and through local civil society partner organisations, funded by a variety of donors including FCDO, Irish Aid, European Union, UN, Caritas Internationalis members, Misereor, among others. Core to Trócaire’s approach in the region is civil society strengthening and organisational development.
The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and delivery of the MEAL component of Trócaire’s programmes (specifically in Somalia) in collaboration with partner agencies as well as ensuring that Trócaire continues to be a learning organisation and that we are accountable to beneficiaries, donors and other stakeholders

Safeguarding Children Policy:
Trócaire is committed to Safeguarding Programme Participants from Exploitation and Abuse and has specific policies on this commitment (including a Global Code of Conduct) which outlines the expected behaviour and the responsibility of all staff, consultants and other organisational representatives. Any candidate offered a job with Trócaire will be expected to sign Trócaire’s Safeguarding Policies and Global Code of Conduct as an appendix to their contract of employment and agree to conduct themselves in accordance with the provisions of these documents.
Reporting to The Deputy Country Director, this is a maternity cover contract for a period of six months and is based in Nairobi with frequent travel to programme locations (approx. 50%).
