He was responding to a call by Mvita MP Abdulswamad Nassir for his support to restore port services to Mombasa under the Azimio La Umoja leadership.
Nassir, who is the ODM candidate for the Mombasa top seat, cited that the Raila Odinga administration will ensure all the complaints of the Coast residents are addressed.
Karua for her part said the Naivasha people will get to benefit from the value chain, and that the ports will work without interfering with any other’s business activities.
The port question has featured in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s succession politics following recent plans by the government to contract private operators to run the facility.
