They were following the same model as it was inhumane to get people to queue up for international carriers of repute. They were thankful for the opportunity but use technology for this kind of recruitment.

Another user wrote that it was a terrible way to call interviews…did they expect 5 people to attend? Should have called for applications and selected a shortlist to interview.
Or if this was the method used at least book a hall and provide seating arrangements to the candidates! Cmon Qatar airways.

A car parking in Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad turned into ocean after record-breaking heavy rain affected the normal life in parts of UP.
The flooded roads and damaged houses in Firozabad clearly indicates about the devastation that 48 mm rainfall in 24 hours has brought to a city not designed for such weather events.

A video of ocean-like car parking is doing rounds on social media.
The viral video shows how hundreds of cars in a parking lot were nearly submerged in floodwater following the deluge. While some cars can be seen half- drowning into rain water, others in the back are almost completely underwater.
However, the exact location of the car parking in Firozabad has not been identified yet.
The record breaking rain in parts of Uttar Pradesh affected the normal life of the people of the state. The 48 hours continue rains led to several rain related incidents like wall collapse, lightening and waterlogging in Etawah, Aligarh and Firozabad.
At least 10 people were killed, 7 in Etawah and 11 injured in incidents of lightning and wall collapses as heavy rains in parts of Uttar Pradesh. The record-breaking rains forced the closure of schools in Aligarh.

India’s most noted comedian, Raju Srivastava died at the age of 58 on Wednesday. After staying on life support for more than a month, the King of Comedy took his last breath at AIIMS Delhi hospital. But while his fans were mourning at his death, Comicstaan’s Rohan Joshi can up with an insensitive comment.
Stand-up comedian commented on Atul Khatri’s post saying that the world hasn’t lost a thing. He added that Srivastava seized every opportunity he got to demean up-and-coming comedians and shamed their comedy as offensive.
The AIB comedian further added that Raju Srivastava might have told some good jokes but he doesn’t understand the spirit of comedy or about defending one’s right to say something even if the other one doesn’t agree. The comedian ended his long tirade of a comment by saying good riddance.
However, this did not go well with the tweeple. Neither they appreciated his timing to remember such facts on the day of his death, nor tweeple agreed to Rohan Joshi completely. Several Twitter users called out comedian Rohan Joshi’s comment and said that he might have gotten his minutes of fame by abusing a deceased but he doesn’t deserve the spotlight at all.
And seems like this may have put some sense into Joshi’s head as he deleted his insensitive comment and even apologized by writing that after a minute of anger he realized that day was not about his personal feelings. He further said sorry to anyone who was hurt by his comment.
For the unversed, Raju Srivastava was admitted to AIIMS, Delhi after he suffered a heart attack while working out at his gym on August 10. He underwent an angioplasty and was put on a ventilator due to his critical health. The news of his passing away was confirmed by his family. And now he is survived by his wife Shikha and their two children.
Recently, a woman shared her experience of how she had to face the judgement of officials in the police station when she went to register a complaint at the Andheri Railway Police Station. And how she had to narrate the incident 3–4 times to get an FIR lodged.

Every day, hundreds of women are subjected to sexual harassment, molestation, groping, and even worse. However, only a few per cent of cases are reported every day because some fear it would tarnish their image, and those who have the courage to do so get judged by the people around them in the police station.
Recently, a woman named Unnati, who goes by the Twitter handle The Sunflower, shared her experience of how she had to face the judgement of officials in the police station when she went to register a complaint at the Andheri Railway Police Station. And how she had to narrate the incident 3–4 times to get an FIR lodged.
In a tweet, the lawyer said that she was sexually assaulted on her way to work on the local train. She said she reached the police station at 11 am and told the police in charge that she was molested and would be comfortable speaking about it to a female cop. She said the first question he asked her was, “What is molestation?”
After explaining to the police woman about the details of my complaint, her first question to me was if my boyfriend did that to me. How does it matter? (4/n)
What else can you expect from the police in charge? Further stating the incident to the female cop, she said she was asked if that guy was her boyfriend. Not only this, when the female cop explained the incident to the male senior cop, he said, “Oh God, this is going to be a lot of work.”
Someone who has come to the police station with the hope of getting justice is facing this kind of embarrassment. She said that everyone there kept telling her that, even being a lawyer, why didn’t she hit him?
While I identified the perpetrator on the cctv footage at around 11:30 am, one of the police women kept telling me "Arey maarna tha na usko aap toh advocate ho, maara kyu nahi" (you should have hit him since you're a lawyer, why didn't you hit him). (7/n)
She said she was annoyed by such questions because the above statement makes it so clear that we are responsible for our own safety because when we go to complain and put our trust in the system, we’re told that we could have solved it better by taking matters into our own hands, she added.
She said she was even asked to narrate her experience in the middle of the entire police station, and that came at the top of 2.5 hours. She, however, denied it and gave the statement in a separate room. She said she identified the perpetrator at 11:30 am in the CCTV footage, but still, no one recorded her statement for around 3 hours.
The place where the incident happened comes under the jurisdiction of Borivali. She then said she was asked to leave and told the information would be forwarded to the Borivali Police Station. She further said that she received a call from that police station in the evening and they called her to identify the perpetrator once again on CCTV footage.
being told that since he wasn't my bf or someone I knew I was a "nice girl" and I didn't do anything wrong to be upset, I finally got a copy of my statement. (15/n)
Calling the police system worst, she said she had to describe the situation once again as the Andheri Railway Police didn’t forward the exact details of the accused.
Talking about how women face a situation in the police station when they go to file a complaint of sexual harassment or molestation, she said, “I’m a privileged woman living close to South Bombay.” I take a packed local at peak morning hours to reach my workplace. I’m educated and financially independent. Being an advocate helps because I know the exact ambit of the duties of the police, she added.
I have to go back and relive the most traumatic day of my life again because the andheri railway police didn't forward the details of the exact person who did this to me. (18/n)
She further stated that she was told to go to the CCTV room with 2 male cops (not in uniform) and a female cop accompanied when she insisted that a female cop should accompany her to a place outside the police station. She said her situation would be much worse if she didn’t know her right to ask a female cop to accompany her if she was younger, or if she was from a minority, or a weaker economic background, or if someone who wasn’t aware of those rights and couldn’t take the day off to just file an FIR.
Hi, an update: I got a call from the borivali police this morning telling me that I didn't need to re-identify the perpetrator on cctv and that the Andheri railway police has forwarded the details. This thread did numbers and that's the reason things were expedited. Thank you
GRP commissioner Quaiser Khalid has instituted an enquiry into the behaviour of the personnel.
She said the way police handle such situations is heartbreaking and called filing a complaint a traumatic experience.
A few people don’t even report it because they know the process of reporting incidents like this would traumatize them further. It is important that police officers show sensitivity in such situations.
