Amazon Plans Over 4,000 UK Jobs Despite Global Slowdown
Amazon plans to add more than 4,000 permanent jobs to its operations in the U.K. this year, making it one of the regio’s 10 biggest private sector employees. When the company reaches the 75,000-employee mark, it will have created about 40,000 new jobs in the U.K. in the last three years. This new wave of hiring will include roles in corporate and technology functions in Amazon and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Goldman Helps Airbase Take Off With $150M Credit Facility
Spend management platform Airbase has secured $150 million in debt financing led in a round led by Goldman Sachs. The San Francisco-based company said the funding will allow it to expand its charge card program to an increasing base of customers.
Apiture Lands $29M Investment for Digital Banking Platform
Digital banking platform Apiture closed a $29 million fundraising round and plans to use the money to boost its marketing efforts, speed product development and meet rising demand for the Apiture Digital Banking Platform. The platform serves more than 300 banks and credit unions (CUs) across the United States.
